Get on Highway 99 headed north and take it all the way to Squamish! At the Horseshoe Bay junction, keep to the left. Always be on the lookout for signs marked ‘Highway 99 Squamish / Whistler.’ That’s where you want to be.

BY CAR FROM WHISTLER

Even easier than from Vancouver. Take Highway 99 South until you enter the town of Squamish.

BICYCLE VALET

You came by bicycle? Good for you! Your reward shall be a FREE and secure bicycle valet. Every year we have more bicycles - thanks for being awesome! This also means each year we have to move it to a bigger space. The bicycle valet is located inside Brennan Rec Centre on Loggers Lane - cycle to the festival on Loggers Lane and follow the green Bicycle Valet signs to check your bicycle next to Gate 9 and then go have some fun.

WRISTBANDS

Your pass in to the festival is an RFID enabled wristband. You’ll receive your wristband via registered mail a few weeks before the festival.  Your wristband contains a chip which allows it to talk to various pieces of technology around the festival.

For more info on wristbands please click here

Customer Service is located onsite at Gate 3 and Gate 9 and will be the go-to location for any wristband related issues.

CASHLESS PAYMENT SYSTEM

We’re pleased to announce that Squamish Festival 2014 is a fully cashless festival (**with the exception of the campgrounds and the artisan village). This will speed up service times at beer gardens, food vendors and merchant sites around the festival.

Now we know what you're thinking - No cash!? How will I pay for things at the festival?

It's easy! You'll use your RFID wristband. Our online registration portal will allow you to activate your wristband and add credit to the RFID chip before you arrive at the festival. Directions to the online portal will be mailed to you with your festival passes.

There is a nominal service fee of $3.50 charged the first time you load credit onto your wristband. You can refund any outstanding balance left on your wristband after the festival, subject to a $2.00 handling fee. Click here for more info on our cashless system.

Need more credit? No problem. There will be serveral ways to top up on-site and you won't even need to stand in line.

  • Use our smartphone app (also handy for checking your balance onsite)
  • Use the online portal on the festival website
  • Visit a Top Up station - okay, there might be a line here.

Onsite Top Up stations will accept Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Cash.  You can use a Credit Card to top-up online. If you lose your wristband, DON'T PANIC. You'll be able to go online and cancel any remaining credit.

**The campgrounds and the artisans/mechants inside the festival will NOT be cashless so make sure you bring some old fashioned dollar bills. The campgrounds will have several food vendors, a general store and lockers that you can rent onsite for storing your valuables.

CHILDREN

10 years old and under go free when accompanied by a full paying adult. Each child must have 1 paying adult accompanying them.  Please bring proof of age as our security staff are good but not psychic. All ages are welcome at our festival, however licensed areas will be for those over 19 only - this includes the VIP area.

FOOD & DRINK

Drinks

You are allowed to bring one sealed water bottle into the festival, no bigger than 1.5 litres. Keep your water bottle as we will have filling stations in several spots in the festival for you to fill up with beautiful BC water!

Food

We allow people to bring a small lunchbox-sized amount of food into the festival. However we have a wide selection of food trailers and carts with a wide variety of food and drink available within the festival. You can of course bring food and drink into the campgrounds.

SEATING

This is a general admission festival without seating, which means no one gets to sit in a golden circle, so everyone wins. We have, arguably, the best grass in BC so bring a blanket and chill out in front of the stage of your choosing.

If you've purchased a VIP ticket, there will be comfortable lounge style seating in the secluded VIP area away from the stages, and a limited-capacity VIP viewing deck at two of the main stages.

WHEELCHAIR & ACCESSIBLE ENTRY & PARKING

The festival and campsites are entirely accessible/wheelchair friendly. If you require accessible seating, parking, or camping, please purchase your festival passes through Ticketmaster Customer Service at 1-855-682-6736.

Wheelchair parking will be located on Raven Drive directly across from Gate 3. This limited quantity of parking will be available through Ticketmaster Customer Service at 1-855-682-6736.

Wheelchair viewing platforms will be located at all major stages.  Patrons in wheelchairs or with mobility issues are eligible to access this platform with one attendant.

If you require an accessible shuttle from Vancouver or Whistler, please write to our shuttle provider at [email protected].

MERCHANDISE

A full range of both festival and artist merchandise will be available to buy onsite during the festival.

LOCKERS

Secure lockers will be available to rent inside the festival grounds as well as the Circle Campground, the Diamond Campground and the Triangle Campground. Each locker is 11"x 13.5" x 18". For campers this is a great option for storing your valuables during the festival. For those of you not camping the lockers are a great way to store those items that you don't want to carry around during the day. Squamish is known for being hot in the day and chilly at night. Bring a change of clothes and store it in your locker till the sun goes down.

Lockers can be pre-booked before you arrive at the festival. Click here to book your locker now!

CELL PHONE CHARGING

We're excited to announce that we will be offering complimentary cell phone charging stations in key sites throughout the festival and in all the campgrounds. This will function like a valet service. You'll drop off your phone with the staff at the charging station and pick it up an hour later, all juiced up.

ATM

There will be ATMs throughout the festival site, campgrounds and at the box office but keep in mind that the festival site is cashless. See the Cashless Payment System section above for info on this. Campers will have access to ATMs to pay for purchases inside the campgrounds.

NO FUN LIST

All bags will be subject to search when entering the festival grounds, no alcohol or drugs are permitted to be brought into the festival. The following items are not permitted onsite:

  • No animals, with the exception of guide dogs
  • Offensive weapons or anything that may be considered to be an offensive weapon
  • Fireworks, flares, laser pens or laser equipment
  • ANY glass containers (eg. alcohol, ketchup, soft drinks in glass bottles)
  • Lawn chairs are fine in campgrounds but please leave them there as they are a hazard in the festival especially when it gets dark (our grass is more than awesome to sit on)
  • No professional recording equipment - both video and sound - will be permitted in the festival grounds. Anyone who brings tripods, Go Pros, excessive zoom lenses or sound recording equipment will be asked to leave it with security and collect at the end of the festival. Small DSLR's (such as Canon Rebels) will be permitted with smaller lenses.
  • Under no circumstances will cars or any other type of motorised vehicle be allowed inside the camping area - our campground is for tents only.

Wristbands MUST be kept on ALL WEEKEND. Your wristband is your festival pass and you've probably loaded it with credit to make payments onsite, so treat it like cash. Wristbands that have been removed or tampered with become void.

LICENSED AREAS

All licensed areas have a set capacity that, by law, we cannot exceed. We will work hard to make any line-ups for beer gardens as painless as possible, however please show some patience if you do have to line-up as we will be keeping our ‘one in, one out’ system as efficient and fast as possible.

You must be 19+ to enter, and you’ll need two forms of ID, one government issued, for access to these areas. So a Drivers License and a Credit Card will do just fine.

IN & OUTs

If you're joining us for the weekend we're more than happy for you to come and go as you please - your weekend wristband will allow you access in and out of our main gates. If you're here just for one day (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) there are NO in and outs - why would you ever want to leave?
